Anniversary artwork

Sister Maria Liebeck, DC (center), a Little Rock artist, presents a framed piece of art to Antje Harris, director of Catholic Adoptions Services for 23 years, and Bishop Anthony B. Taylor Feb. 24.

Sister Maria was commissioned by Catholic Adoption Services to create artwork for the agency's 25th anniversary. The watercolor and oil pastel framed in silver shows the circle of life from the perspective of heaven.

The center forms a cross with an infant "that is suspended in the loving embrace," Sister Maria said. All profits from Sister Maria's artwork benefit Helping Hand food pantry in Little Rock.

The artwork will hang in The McDonald Center, which will open in June on the St. John Center campus in Little Rock.
