Bishop Anthony B. Taylor blessed new construction projects at Christ the King Church and School in Little Rock after an all-school Mass May 4.
The bishop led a procession that included pastor Msgr. Francis Malone, former pastor Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert, superintendent of Catholic Schools Vernell Bowen, assistant superintendent Theresa Hall, former and present associate pastors, altar servers and parishioners. Students offered prayers and waved to the bishop in appreciation along the way.
In addition to the columbarium, the bishop blessed the renovated adoration chapel, where the school choir performed; cafeteria and kitchen; Spanish classroom; safe room; and the main school office where a new crucifix was hung on the wall.
