I don’t know about you, but I often mentally brace myself for Lent. The season feels so long, so winter-ridden and in this time of lingering pandemic, especially isolating. We buried my mom recently. Seven months ago, I first drove her to her new memory care facility. My heart was breaking. She was so scared and vulnerable but was trying so hard to be brave.
