Knights of Columbus councils in Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village raised money for St. John School in Hot Springs and Squire Circle 5700 during its eighth annual charity golf tournament. The Knights donated $6,940 to the school scholarship fund and $1,500 to the Squires. Eighty-eight golfers competed at the Balboa Golf Course in Hot Springs Village. A highlight of this year’s tournament was the 80-foot-long, slow practice green putting contest. The Squires again served as volunteers. “Chuck Wagon Joe” Giompoletti and his crew served the barbecue lunch.
