St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro is the only medical center in Arkansas to receive the American Heart Association’s highest award — the Mission: Lifeline Receiving Hospital Gold Plus Award — for care of patients with heart attacks. It is also the first hospital in the state ever to receive that recognition for two consecutive years.
The award was presented to physicians at a press conference at St. Bernards by Cammi Marti, Arkansas director of the American Heart Association.
