Two hundred people gathered at Sacred Heart School Gym in Morrilton March 26 for the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Contest. Sixty-four contestants from across the state competed. Mayor Alan Lipsmeyer welcomed the contestants and guests. Morrilton Council 5209 acted as host. State Deputy Philip Savage and his wife Cindy, State Advocate Conrad De La Paz, State Warden Michael Bowman and Past State Deputy Max Nutt were all present for the event. Medals were presented to the 12 champions.

• 10-year-old boys: Luke Siebenmorgen, Council 14619, Scranton
• 10-year-old girls: Jennifer Hartman, Council 5209, Morrilton
• 11-year-old boys: Carson Thomas, Council 5209, Morrilton
• 11-year-old girls: Brailey Forst, Council 3787, Paris
• 12-year-old boys: Cole Eichler, Council 10167, Little Rock
• 12-year-old girls: Natalya Kaza, Council 812, Little Rock
• 13-year-old boys: Jarrett Davis, Council 10208, Hot Springs Village
• 13-year-old girls: Jill Nutt, Council 6680, New Dixie (Bigelow)
• 14-year-old boys: Jack Young, Council 7258, Mena
• 14-year-old girls: Madeline Bottoms, Council 5209, Morrilton
Their scores will be submitted for a chance to claim the national title.
