Three seminarians from the Diocese of Little Rock have been selected to receive an all-expense paid pilgrimage to the Holy Land July 3-14, sponsored by the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem Southwestern Lieutenancy. Raye G. White of Houston began the scholarship fund because she wanted seminarians to experience the Holy Land while they were still studying to become priests, knowing it would strengthen them spiritually. Additional funds donated by members will allow 23 seminarians from the region to attend.
The three chosen to attend were Joseph de Orbegozo of Little Rock, and Keith Higginbotham and Daniel Ramos, both of North Little Rock. Only Houston-Galveston archdiocese had more seminarians qualified to attend and many dioceses had none that qualified.
