Serve up some souper suppers

We are quickly approaching Super Bowl Sunday -- a perfect time for a little neighborhood evangelizing. All you need is one big pot to make your favorite soup -- I am talking BIG POT.  Then invite those neighbors you know or need to know better over for SOUP and breaking some bread. Keep it simple or invite them to bring their favorite soup or dish for pot luck. Since moving to Clarksville, the Holy Spirit inspired this ideal, and as I rode my bike up and down the street, I talked to anyone outside got to know my neighbors. Eventually I sent out invites for a "Souper Supper" and in the past year we have had four great evenings.  A few neighbors are steady returns and now other new friends are invited. It is a great way to live your faith without being a preacher/teacher -- just a friend. Of course all your Catholic pictures, crucifixes on the wall, and that prayer before the meal will say -- "I believe in God the Father" etc

Pass the butter and "spread the Good News". May the joy of the Lord fill your year.
