The parish of St. Andrew in Yellville welcomed our bishop, Anthony Taylor, for mass and dedication and blessing of Memorial to the Unborn and Grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary that both came to reality under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and wonderful parishioners who donated their time and effort for these projects.

In a small parish, we are truly blessed to have just a wonderful caring community of believers in what was said in the Gospel.

We were also grateful for the presence of the Knights of Columbus from Harrison who were the honor guard as well as providing the pulled pork we had for lunch following Mass and the dedication. Our wonderful altar servers made the whole day great. What a sight to see so many of them standing on the altar. It was wonderful to see them help make this event even better.

Our Grotto to the Blessed Virgin Mary had received a new paint job, making her glow. The landscaping, flowers and bench made Her even stand out more.

The Memorial to the Unborn also got a facelift this year as in the past we always had to move the crosses in the summer as the grass had to be mowed. Now it is permanent surrounded by shrubs, gravel and landscape timbers, which is in front of the church incorporating the crucifix that is also present.

Now, we are truly blessed to have a Grotto to the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Memorial to the Unborn that will stand out for all to see as they travel through North Central Arkansas. A shining beacon of hope and joy for all!  Knowing that we all stand for LIFE FOR ALL FROM CONCEPTION TO NATURAL DEATH with the Blessed Virgin Mary watching over us at all times.
