On Sept. 1, the Edge and LifeTeen students at St. Stephen Church in Bentonville hosted a special prayer vigil in honor of the canonization of Mother Teresa of Kolkata. Evening prayer was followed with a special homily by Father Francis Madanu on Mother Teresa. The prayer vigil ended with the public veneration of a first class relic of the newly declared saint along with the blessing and enthronement of her image in the chapel. In the example of Mother Teresa, all participants were asked to bring household and personal care items to donate to the St. Stephen Benevolent Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
