Barbara Loh dies

Barbara Phyl Loh, 70, of Oppelo, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4. She was born July 4, 1946, in Morrilton, a daughter of the late Philip H. Loh III and the late Clara Laux Loh. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock. She received her Bachelor of Science from Arkansas Tech University in 1987 and was a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society. She managed Loh Properties and was member of St. Elizabeth Church. She served on many local boards and contributed generously of her time and money.

Barbara is survived by six first cousins, Steve Laux of Cary, North Carolina, Chris Laux of Boca Raton, Florida,Jane Adams of Austin, Texas, George Laux of Richmond, Virginia, Carolyn Eastham of Little Rock and Ann Turney of Conway; special friends, Terry (Jerry) Owens,Jeannie (Frank) Andrews, and Raymond Zimmerman, special caregivers, LorettaMaynard and Laura Hartzell; godchildren, Amber Fullerton, Katy Ward, TyHarpenau, Andrew Dunlap, Brayden Leach, Josephina Ellis, Landon Owens and numerous family and friends.  She was preceded in death by a godchild, Justin Jones.

The funeral Mass was Friday, Oct. 7 at St. Elizabeth Church with Father Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.Rosary was Thursday, at the funeral home with visitation following. Memorial donations may be made to Ellen Hutchison Memorial Scholarship Fund or Drew Bottoms Endowment Fund at Sacred Heart.
