Why I am becoming Catholic: Kristi Bounds

Published: March 22, 2008

"In July 2007 I decided to enroll my 4-year-old, Madysen, in St. Paul School Pre-K program. I made my decision based on the reputation of the school and the fact that my daughter would get a Christian-based education. Then in August I found out about the RCIA classes. I had never really attended church on a regular basis so I was a little nervous about going to the class, so I asked my mother, Sherrie Tweedy, to go with me. Neither of us have ever been baptized and were not raised attending church. We were fascinated with the fact that the class starts you off at the elementary level and there are so many caring people to help you with your questions and struggles. For the first time ever we actually felt comfortable attending a church. It feels so natural, like home to us. We are happy that we have finally found a spiritual family."
