Enrollment

Schools: 28 

Total enrollment: 6,889

Elementary enrollment: 4,911

Secondary enrollment: 1,978

Percentage of Catholic students: 74

Total enrollment in preschools: 732

 

Race and ethnicity

Percentage of white students:  88

Percentage of Asian students: 3.9

Percentage of black students: 1.8

Percentage of multi-racial students: 2.6

Percentage of Hispanic students: 10.2*

The remaining students are Native American, from the Pacific island region or unknown.

*Hispanic is not considered a race but an ethnic group. 

 

Staffing

Total professional staff: 662

Percentage of staff who are laypeople: 97.5

Percentage of staff who are Catholic: 77.6

 

Costs

Average annual cost of educating one child in elementary school: $5,297

Average annual cost of educating one child in secondary school: $8,092

Average tuition rate for elementary first Catholic child is $3,420. For a non-Catholic first child, the rate is $4,840.

Average tuition rate for secondary Catholic is $4,951 and non-Catholic is $5,764. (This does not include Subiaco Academy, a boarding school.)

 

Testing

Stanford 10 achievement scores from spring 2014 show the total battery scores, which includes all academic subjects, for all first through eighth grades in Arkansas Catholic schools. The average score for the Stanford 10 is 50th percentile. Any score above 50 percentile is above average.

First grade: 63

Second grade: 65

Third grade: 63

Fourth grade: 70

Fifth grade: 69

Sixth grade: 68

Seventh grade: 66

Eighth grade: 70
