Eleven consecrated religious representing nearly 600 combined years of service to the Church were lauded at the annual Jubilee Celebration Mass Sept. 29. The bilingual Mass was celebrated by Bishop Anthony B. Taylor at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church in Little Rock.
Of the 10 nuns and one monk being honored, five were in attendance, including Sister Adrian Wewers, OSB, of Fort Smith, 70 years; Sister Lillian Marie Reiter, OSB, of Jonesboro, 60 years; Sister Norma Edith Munoz, MCP, of Little Rock, 50 years; Sister Maria Elena Alva, MCP, of Little Rock, 50 years; and Sister Kimberly Prohaska, OSB, of Fort Smith, 25 years.
Honored but unable to attend were Sister Laurene Favre, RSM, of Barling, 85 years; Sister Agatha Knittig, OSB, of Fort Smith, 75 years; Sister Ann Wiedemer, OCD, of Little Rock, 70 years; Sister Jeanette Bayer, OSB, of Jonesboro, 60 years; Brother Maurus Glenn, OSB, of Subiaco, 25 years; and Sister Mary Catherine Breidt, BSCM, of Berryville, 25 years.
