A favorite activity at Christ the King School in Fort Smith is the Baby Jesus program, which was held Dec. 7.
A student from the 3-year-old class carried an infant Jesus into church and laid him in the manger. Then each student brought forth baby items, including diapers, wipes, formula and blankets, and placed them near the manger. Two teachers sang “Mary Did You Know.” At the conclusion, the students sang happy birthday to Jesus.
This year all items were donated to First Choice River Valley Pregnancy Medical Center.
The center’s development director, Melissa Hodges, said, “We had a need for baby items and God answered. … Seeing those precious children lay those gifts at the altar was beyond a blessing I will never forget.”
