What is your goal after college? Attend law school, start a business or join the family business

What was the best aspect of attending your high school? Having the rare and unique opportunity to make friends with and be taught by Benedictine monks. It is truly what makes Subiaco such a special place.

What will you miss most about high school? I will miss my friends that have become my brothers at Subiaco Academy the most. The memories and experiences I shared with them I will remember for life.

Scholarships: $84,000 TCU Dean’s Scholarship

High school honors and awards: Medal for Good Character, achievement awards in World War II history, Native American history, beginning guitar and Mandarin Chinese; concurrent credit in Composition I/II, Oral Communications, Campus Activities and Western Civilization; baseball scholar athlete, football scholar athlete, Football Defensive Player of the Year

Lt. John-Rex Spivey, of the Subiaco Class of 2009 and the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 2013, was the graduation speaker May 11 in the inner courtyard of Subiaco Abbey.

The valedictorian was Gage Lee of Gainesville, Texas. The salutatorian was David Heinrichs of Fort Smith. A member of St. Boniface Church, Heinrichs is the son of Dianne and Stephen Heinrichs. He will be enrolled in the Honors College of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he will study biomedical engineering.
