Bishop makes pastoral changes in Camden, Hot Springs

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announced the following pastoral appointments:


Effective Sept. 1

  • Rev. Keith Higginbotham appointed pastoral administrator of St. Louis Church in Camden and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Magnolia. He remains assistant spiritual advisor for the Misioneros Vicentinos Laicos. He is relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of Church of St. John the Baptist in Hot Springs.
  • Rev. Jules Norbert “Padre Eliseo” Njopmo appointed associate pastor of Church of St. John the Baptist in Hot Springs. He is relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville, St. John the Evangelist in Huntsville and Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Lincoln. This is a change to the pastoral appointment previously announced July 3.
  • Rev. Balaraju Desam appointed associate pastor of St. Joseph Church in Conway and St. Oscar Romero Catholic Community in Greenbrier. He is relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Edward Church in Texarkana, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Ashdown, Sacred Heart Church in Foreman, St. Louis Church in Camden and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Magnolia.
  • Rev. William Burmester relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Louis Church in Camden and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Magnolia. He remains pastor of St. Edward Church in Texarkana, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Ashdown and Sacred Heart Church in Foreman.
