Deacon Greg Donaldson

Greg Donaldson, 56

Christ the King, Little Rock

Assigned to: Christ the King, Little Rock

Employment: Director of faith formation, Christ the King Church

Wife: Christie

How did you hear your calling to become a deacon? At first thought it only happened twice, first at the Chrism Mass in 2014 and as a lector at a funeral in 2015, but after discernment I became aware that I missed countless other moments in my life when he was calling me to the diaconate.

What ministries are you currently involved in? RCIA, first reconciliation, first Communion, confirmation, catechist training, whole family catechesis and most faith formation programs, including Sunday Youth Faith Formation

Who have been the biggest influences in your diaconate formation? First, the loving support of my wife and two sons; and all the parishioners that have been praying for us. Second, the diaconate team, my pastor and the already ordained deacons at my parish who have provided great models of service to follow.
