Deacon Hector Garcia, 72, a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro, died March 2.
He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, to Sixto and Elisa Garcia Sept. 16, 1950. Garcia was ordained a deacon in 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Adelina Garcia; two sons, Hector Garcia of Mexico and Josue Garcia of Jonesboro; one daughter, Norma Garcia of Jonesboro; two brothers, two sisters, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The visitation and rosary was held March 5 at Blessed Sacrament Church. The funeral Mass was held March 6 at the church, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
