    The first new Catholic school in the diocese in the past eight years, St. Raphael School in Springdale started classes Aug. 16 for kindergarten to third grade. The new school builds on the success of St. Raphael Preschool, which opened in 2004.

This is a portion of a recent letter sent to alumni and families of St Vincent de Paul announcing plans to mark the school's anniversary.
