Dr. Cook honored in Jonesboro

Published December 22, 2017

Dr. John C. Cook has been recognized as this year’s Living the Mission Physician at St. Bernards in Jonesboro. A partner at St. Bernards Surgical Associates, he has called Jonesboro home most of his life. He was recognized earlier this month by his peers for “living the mission” of St. Bernards, providing Christ-like care to those in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

The award is given annually, with nominations coming from staff at St. Bernards. After a selection committee narrows nominations to three, physicians on the medical staff select the recipient by secret ballot. The presentation is made at the annual medical staff meeting each December.

Cook was born in Batesville but spent most of his formative years in Jonesboro. He and his wife, Holly, have two sons, Jonathan, who lives in Jonesboro with his wife and two children, and Hogan, who lives in Springdale with his wife, Kayla.
