Little Rock tax workshop Jan. 20

A tax workshop will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 from 5-8 p.m., at the Southwest Community Center at 6401 Baseline Road in Little Rock. Presentations in Spanish and English will focus on income tax filing requirements. Child care will be provided. The event is sponsored by the City of Little Rock and the Working Together in the Community group, in conjunction with Catholic Charities. 

Families will receive information about documents and records required to file a return, eligibility for the earned income tax credit and instruction regarding fraud schemes and notarios. There will be an opportunity for low-income families to make appointments for free income tax preparation during the coming tax season.
