St. Richard Church in Bald Knob acquired the property next to the church through a donation from James Feltrop, brother of Mary Cook of St. James Church in Searcy. Bill Glynn, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council at St. James, removed the old house to allow for the church to build its own parking lot. Parishioners and visitors have had to park on the street for years. The lumber from the old residence will be used to convert a garage into a residence for a homeless family with five children in a rural community in Cleburne County.
