Published June 21, 2019

St. Joseph High School in Conway held an awards assembly for grades 7-11 May 19. Among the recipients were five students who received the “Distinguished English Award” from teachers Kathleen Gueringer and Alicia Yrle. Seventh-grader Bryce Mallett, eighth-grader Chloe Skinner, freshman Jake Luyet, sophomore Savannah Mooney and junior Hunter Watkins each demonstrated the character and qualifications required for selection. These included an A in every quarter of the school year, the willingness and enthusiasm to share thoughts and lead discussions on various readings and a desire to assist and encourage their fellow classmates.
