Published February 14, 2020

The Servants of Jesus and Mary Filipino-American Community Arkansas Chapter celebrated its 10th annual Sinulog Festival Jan. 26 in the recently opened John Paul II Center at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers. The annual festival is celebrated in honor of Santo Nino, the oldest image of the Christ child and the patron saint of the Philippines. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., followed by a Filipino feast with songs and dances performed by chapters from various churches in northwest Arkansas, including St. Mary Parish in Siloam Springs and St. Joseph Church from Fayetteville. Father Joseph Chan of Fort Smith delivered the keynote address.
