Father Robbins flies in parade

Published May 27, 2020

Father Tony Robbins, a pilot and pastor of St. Joseph Church in Conway, took part in “Plane Parade” flying his Mooney M20-F single-engine aircraft April 30 in Conway. About 30 planes were part of the air show to salute Toad Suck Daze, which would have been held that weekend but was postponed because of COVID-19.

The planes took off from Conway’s Cantrell Field and circled the city for about 45 minutes. Their route was planned with safety in mind. They flew at 1,000 feet and kept a quarter-of-a-mile apart. There were also planes with the Bulldog Flight Formation Team, based in Cabot, which flew higher and in patterns that left smoke trails behind them.
