Father Jack Sidler, pastor of St. John Church in Russellville, announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 June 17. In a message on Facebook, he said, “Since being informed I have quarantined myself and will do so until June 30. All office personnel who have tested have tested negative. I had no symptoms before testing and have had none since, which I understand is quite normal.”
The pastor said weekend Masses will continue with the help of visiting priests.
“As you know we at St. John have made a concerted effort to follow the proper protocols. However, I want to emphasize how important it is to wear a mask, properly wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and always practice social distancing. We must stay on guard at all times.”
