Three diocesan employees — Patrick Gallaher, Miriam Gallaher and Lilly Hess — announced their retirements effective June 30.
Patrick Gallaher has been the executive director of Catholic Charities of Arkansas for the past eight years. His wife, Miriam, has been an office assistant in the vocations office. They both attend St. Mary Church in Hot Springs.
Lilly Hess has worked for the diocese for 42 years. She was an associate director of administration and production for Little Rock Scripture Study until 2019. Hess began in a secretarial role in 1978 for both Little Rock Scripture Study and the Family Life Office, which was combined at the time. For the past year she has been an office assistant for several diocesan offices, including Arkansas Catholic and the development office. She attends Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church in Little Rock.
