Knights of Columbus members presented Msgr. Scott Friend, diocesan vocations director, with a check for $46,080 raised by Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Hot Springs Village for the Taste of Faith held virtually Aug. 8.
The diocese raised more than $575,000 to pay for the education and housing of 30 seminarians. Council Grand Knight Murray Claassen said the council normally hosts a dinner to support vocations but this year instead asked parishioners to support the Taste of Faith virtual event. This year’s contribution was a 50 percent increase for the Hot Springs Village parish compared to last year.
