Trinity Junior High in Fort Smith ranked in the top three, and earned six of the top 10 spots in the area-wide Student Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition held by Invest Fort Smith and the Peak Innovation Center at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. The winner was Trinity alumnus Anna Cobb, who attends Northside High School. Second place was Trinity alumnus Austin Hughes, who also attends Northside High School. Third place was Trinity ninth-grade student Carson Lane. Students submitted 60-second video pitches to qualify for the event. The top three were invited to present their pitch in-person to local business leaders at the River Valley Economic Development Summit.
