The Diocese of Little Rock organized COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Little Rock and North Little Rock March 20 and 27. On March 20, 330 people were vaccinated at St. Edward Church and St. Theresa Church in Little Rock. On March 27, another 355 people were vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine at Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Little Rock. The 685 people are expected to return April 10 and 17 for their second shot.
The diocese’s Faith and Health Ministry helped coordinate the events with volunteer nurses, doctors and pharmacists. The shots, which were provided by CHI St. Vincent, were intended to reach eligible parishioners, especially minorities and lower-income residents.
