Mercy Northwest Arkansas in Rogers is giving more than 1,000 COVID-19 vaccine shots each day at Mercy Clinic Springdale to people who are eligible under state guidelines.
Mercy opened the special vaccine clinic Feb. 17, serving 23 patients that day to establish protocols and smooth the process for the thousands of people who have followed. As the state has increased the supply of vaccines, Mercy has been able to steadily increase the number of patients scheduled and plans to continue to offer more daily appointments as the state expands eligibility.
“We are so honored to have the opportunity to serve our community and we’re grateful to those who are choosing Mercy for their vaccine,” said Kelli Huntley, chief operating officer for Mercy Clinic.
To date, Mercy has given 23,000 doses of vaccine to Mercy employees, patients and local residents at Mercy Hospital in Rogers and Mercy Clinic Springdale.
