Luke Thessing, an eighth-grader at St. Joseph School in Conway, recently had his artwork chosen to represent the school in the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. The contest has been held for the last 30 years for young people ages 11-13 to express their views of peace and to spread it around the world. Each entry is judged on originality, artistic merit, and theme. "We Are Connected" is the theme for 2021-2022.
Working through the Conway Evening Lions Club, Thessing’s poster first represented St. Joseph at the local level and went on to win at the district judging and has been moved on to the state competition. State winners are sent to the International contest with around 75 countries.
