Arkansas voters rejected Issue 4 Nov. 8 that would have legalized recreational marijuana for adults 21 years old and older. It failed 56.3 percent to 43.7 percent. The Diocese of Little Rock joined other religious groups, legislators and law enforcement who opposed the constitutional amendment. Voters approved the legalization of medical marijuana in the state in 2016.
