The annual St. Joseph School Athletic Booster Club Bulldog Golf Tournament was held Sept. 8 on the Nutters Chapel Golf Course in Conway. Thirty-two three-person scramble teams participated, broken down into three flights.
The first flight first-place winners were John Kordsmeier, Matthew Dail and Josh Hambuchen. They combined for a score of 56. Jonathon Strack, Daniel Moix and Daniel Antoine finished in second place with a score of 58. The Coney brothers, Timmy and Collin, along with Jimmey Stobaugh, came in third place with a 59.
In the second flight, first place went to Nathan Hambuchen, Harrison Hambuchen and Aaron Hoelzeman. They shot a 62. The three Lawsons, Jim, Jake and Joe, were second with a 62 as well as the result of a playoff. In third place were Brian Bruich, Luke Bruich and Tim McKenna, who shot a 63.
Rounding out with the third flight were Lindell Atkinson, Clay Woodson and Pat Moix in first place with a score of 68. Richie Gadberry, Donnie Locke and Brian Robertson were second with a 69. Third place went to Alex Kordsmeier, Art Rideout and Baxter Woosley with a score of 70.
The tournament has been held for at least a couple of decades.
"It was a huge success in raising money to support all of our athletic programs," athletic director Luke Davis said.
