Mercy, with hospitals in Rogers, Fort Smith, Berryville, Booneville, Ozark, Paris and Waldron, announced it saved taxpayers $83.5 million in 2022 because of its efforts to improve the health of Medicare patients while lowering the cost of care. The results were released by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Mercy has a quality score in the top 15 percent among 482 Accountable Care Organizations. Mercy’s ACO cares for the sixth-largest number of Medicare patients in the United States.
