Grief ministry

Beacon of Hope grief ministry at St. Joseph Church in Conway is hosting “Grieving Together,” a discussion on grief for teens and young adults Sunday, Oct. 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Spiritan Center. The program is for those 16 to 35 years old who have experienced a significant loss in their lives, including a parent, sibling, grandparent or friend. Father Patrick Friend, chaplain at Catholic High School for Boys in Little Rock, and Father Joseph Friend, pastoral administrator in Lake Village, Crossett and Hamburg, will speak about the grief of losing their mother, Betty Friend, in 2013. The evening will feature small group sharing and discussion about how to cope with emotions after a loss.
