Salute to veterans

Catholic Extension featured a story on Father Stephen Gadberry, pastor of St. Theresa Church in Little Rock, for Veterans Day. Before his ordination, Father Gadberry served in the Air Force, with assignments in Germany and Texas. He served in the Iraq War in the mid-2000s.

“I absolutely loved it. Work has always been important, physical labor, and so the military was just full of work. I just woke up and worked all day, and I loved doing that. I did logistics. I was really good at what I did,” he said of his military service.

After four years, he requested early dismissal to join the seminary. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Little Rock in 2016.
