Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will celebrate two ordinations in May. 

Joel Brackett will be ordained a deacon at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers. Parishioners and friends also can watch the event live on the parish's Facebook page. Eucharistic adoration and vespers will begin at 4 p.m. 

Brackett, 26, is the son of Burke and Kristi Brackett of Rogers. He will serve his first Masses as a deacon and preach his first homily during the 7:45 a.m. bilingual Mass, 10 a.m. English Mass and noon Spanish Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Sunday, May 19.

On Saturday, May 25, Deacon Cody Eveld will be ordained a priest at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. A reception will follow in McDonald Hall. Parishioners and friends can watch the ordination live on the diocese’s YouTube channel. 

Eucharistic adoration and vespers will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 24. His first Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, May 26 at Sacred Heart Church in Charleston. Eveld, 28, is the son of Douglas and Kelly Eveld.
