Welcome home

Published May 14, 2024

Miss America Madison Marsh visited Fort Smith May 9 for a parade and stopped at two of her alma maters, Immaculate Conception School and Trinity Catholic School. Students participated in the homecoming parade to welcome Marsh back to Arkansas. While she represented Colorado, where she was enrolled in the Air Force Academy, for the Miss America pageant, she calls Arkansas home.
While at Trinity, students presented her with a check for $700 for the Whitney Marsh Foundation, named in memory of her mother. For her platform, she is advocating for pancreatic cancer research and education, which her mother died from in 2018.

Marsh, 22, joined the Church in 2012 with her mother. She is pursuing a master’s degree in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.
