Frances Rose Steimel dies

Frances Rose Baltz Steimel, 89, passed away Aug. 4 at Five Rivers Medical Center.

She was born, Feb. 17, 1928, in Pocahontas to Bartha and Rosa Weisenbach Baltz. She was united in marriage to Hubert Charles Steimel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Robert, James, Tom, Ray, and Fintan Baltz; a sister, Helen Hunter; son-in-law, Victor Throesch; grandson, Chris Steimel; granddaughter, Kacey Beth Steimel; and two great-grandsons, C.J. and Zander Steimel.

She is survived by seven children, Brenda (Allen) Meier of Little Rock, Hugh (Theresa) Steimel, George Steimel, Lawrence (Debbie) Steimel, David (Kelly) Steimel, Rose Throesch and Jeanette (Gordon) Thielemier, all of Pocahontas; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Barre and Alice Jansen of Pocahontas; three brothers, Lucian Baltz of Bull Shoals, Curt Baltz of Little Rock, Max Baltz of Pocahontas, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass was Aug. 7  at St. Paul Church in Pocahontas with Father Mariadass Vallapaneni officiating. Burial followed in St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation and rosary were Aug. 6 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.

Pallbearers included Dave Steimel, Andrew Steimel, Nick Steimel, Jacob Thielemier, Jay Throesch and Ben Throesch.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Church.
