Sr. Jean Ryan (with group of disters making a brief tour of St John Center (after having visited the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock in the year of the Jubilee 2000, with Bishop Andrew J McDonald also in the group around Sr. Jean).

Sr Jean Marie Ryan, OCD, passed away Sunday late evening, Jan. 19 in Carmelite Monastery infirmary. She was in the care of hospice as she had a terminal condition. She entered the Carmel at its foundation in 1950 and has been a joy and inspiration to many inside and outside the monastery. We will miss her very much.
