In a time of COVID isolation, Little Portion Hermitage and Monastery is growing. On April 16 at 11 a.m. we are celebrating the permanent profession of Brother John MarmionVilla, BSC, and Brother Maximilian Orvieto, BSC, in the Celibate Monastic Brotherhood of The Brothers and Sisters of Charity.
The solemn celebration takes place during a Profession Mass presided over by Abbot Lawrence Staswszen of St Gregory Abbey in Shawnee, Okla., who is delegated by Bishop Anthony B. Taylor.
The vows are received by John Michael Talbot, BSC, founder and spiritual father of the community. The profession Mass is followed by a meal in the monastery refectory.
