Members of St. Oscar Romero Catholic Community gather for a blessing of their future chapel.

The St. Oscar Romero Catholic Community in Greenbrier is closer to getting a permanent home. Following the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Mass at noon Aug. 15 in its temporary location, Father Tony Robbins and parishioners traveled to the site of its future chapel at 57 South Broadview, Suite 102 for a blessing.

As previously reported in Arkansas Catholic the community formed Jan. 12 and on March 16 Bishop Taylor celebrated Mass with the community and designated its name.

Community members are anxious to move into the new chapel after renovations so they will have a place to call their own.

Call Father Tony Robbins at (501) 327-6568 for more information.
