Pope Francis guides us in healthy use of social media

The Third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete Sunday. At our church, the altar was particularly beautiful on this day. Father’s rose-colored vestments highlighted the purple, rose and green of the Advent wreath. I was the cantor, and from my seat the view was beautiful. I thought, “I need to take a picture and post it on Facebook.” I knew people would see me get my iPhone out, but how could I pass it up? I reasoned with myself, “Father Matt’s mother would love this picture of him in his rose-colored vestments.” (Columns)
