What goals do you want to pursue after college? While I'm currently accepted as an undecided student, I hope to further my passion for environmentalism by potentially pursuing a career in environmental science after college. I also hope to minor in Spanish, and one of my goals is to graduate fluent in the language, possibly studying abroad in a Spanish-speaking country during my undergraduate career.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date? I was really proud to receive the Most Valuable Belle award at my Mount St. Mary Academy’s annual athletic banquet earlier this month. This award is given to a student-athlete who has contributed to Mount in multiple sports, but also academically. I have loved being a part of Mount, both the school and the athletic program, so being given this award was a huge accomplishment for me because of just how much the school and athletic program have meant to me the past four years.

How will your faith be a part of your future? I plan to continue to be active in my faith in college and beyond. I hope to join the Newman Center at the University of Utah so I can become involved with a community that shares my faith and become involved with campus ministry.

Scholarships: Eccles Scholarship (selected as 1 of 25 Eccles Scholars, which provides a selective cohort experience within the Honors College at the University of Utah), National Merit Scholarship, National Merit Raytheon Scholarship

The Mount St. Mary Academy graduation was held May 24 at Robinson Auditorium in Little Rock. Msgr. Lawrence Frederick, chaplain and physics instructor, was the speaker.

The valedictorian was Chloe Gourde. The salutatorian was Brynne Johnson, daughter of Chris and Meredith Johnson. She will attend the University of Arkansas and study biology and psychology with a pre-medical track.
