Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announces pastoral appointments

Father Maduba will become new administrator of parishes in Paragould and Walnut Ridge

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor has announced new pastoral appointments:

Effective Jan. 14

  • Rev. Aby Abraham, IMS, will be relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Mary Church in Paragould and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Walnut Ridge to return to India due to a delay in his visa renewal. Father Benignus Wego, SVD, will cover weekend Masses at both parishes from Jan. 15-30, and Father Norbert Rappold will celebrate the weekend Masses Feb. 5-6. 

Effective Feb. 7

  • Rev. Nazarus Maduba will become administrator of both parishes. He will be relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Peter the Fisherman Church in Mountain Home and St. Mary Church in Mountain View.
