Patricia Sharum

Patricia Ann “Pat” Sharum, 94, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, May 27 in a local nursing home.  She was born on April 30, 1921 in Fort Smith. She was the valedictorian of her class at St. Anne’s High School, a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Church.  She was in the Christ the King Presentation Circle, the St. Edward Auxiliary and the “Knit-Wits” sewing club.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Sharum and her son William A. Sharum. 

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 1 at Christ the King Church with a private burial in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hopkins and her husband Glen of Van Buren; three sons, Robert E. Sharum and his wife Janie of Fort Smith, Curtis L. Sharum and his wife Christy of Salado, Texas, and Wayne Sharum and his wife Sally of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

Pallbearers are Robert, Randy and Lt. Clayton Sharum, Shawn Johnson and James, John and William Hopkins.

The rosary will be 6 p.m., Sunday, May 31 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will visit with friends following the rosary.
