Four deaths in Pocahontas/Engelberg

Margaret Ann Schutzius, 89, a member of St. John the Baptist Church at Engelberg, died Oct. 10. She is survived by three sons, Marty Schutzius of North Swanzey, N.H., Mark Schutzius of Maynard and Marvin Schutzius of Montrose, Colo.; three daughters, Mary Hall of Biggers, Marcia Beach of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Marcella Kennedy of Watseca, Il.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Jansen, 57, a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Pocahontas, died Oct. 29. He is survived by two sons, Seth Jansen of Jonesboro and Aaron Jansen of Pocahontas; a brother, David Jansen of Reyno; and two sisters, Rene' Tyler and Debbie Hibbard, both of Pocahontas.

Thomas Michael Vatsula, 81, a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Pocahontas, died Nov. 8. He is survived by his wife, Oleta Josephine Long Vatsula of Pocahontas, three sons, Stephen Vatsula of Charlestown, Ind., Randall Girard of Signal Hill, Calif., and Timothy Girard of Wenona, Il.; two daughters, Barbara Wampler and Lisa Girard, both of Pocahontas; a brother, John Vatsula of Lodi, Calif. ; a sister, Ann Modesett of Ottawa, Il.; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Robert "Bob" A. Throesch, 81, a member of St. John the Baptist Church at Engelberg, died Nov. 9. He is survived by his wife, Treva Walker Throesch of Engelberg, a son, Mark Throesch of Engelberg; two daughters, Debora Martin and Kim Helms, both of Pocahontas; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Edgar Throesch, Joe Throesch and Don Throesch.
