Important dates to mark for Little Rock, North Little Rock schools

Aug. 17: First day of school

Sept. 7: Labor Day, schools closed

Sept. 25: Professional Day for teachers, schools closed

Nov. 25-27: Thanksgiving break, schools closed

Dec. 21-Jan. 1: Christmas break, schools closed

Jan. 4: Schools reopen after break

Jan. 18: Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, schools closed

Feb. 15: Presidents Day, schools closed

March 21-25: Spring break, schools closed

March 27: Easter

April 4-22: Window to administer Stanford test

May 27: Last day of school

This calendar includes 181 days of school with three snow days built in. If snow days are unused, each school can decide what additional days to cancel classes. If more than three snow days are needed, schools can add additional days to their calendar or schedule cyber days.
